Thomas Wood (bishop of Bedford)
The Rt Rev Claud Thomas Thellusson Wood MC[1] (27 February 1885–17 January 1961) was an eminent Bishop in the mid part of the twentieth century.
He was born on 27 February 1885 and educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge [2]. After a curacy at Hatfield he spent ten years as the Chaplain to the Territorial Army before incumbencies at Croydon and Tring. He was then successively Rural Dean of Berkhamsted, Archdeacon of St Albans[3] and then Bishop of Bedford. He died on 17 January 1961.
